Wow! Thanks, Jenny!

For making my stupid little momblog here so damn popular.
Who knew someone who blogged about cats, teething and hockey could get so many hits from expressing an opinion about a celebrity flogging her book?
I swear, Britney. If you ever write a book, WordPress will probably kick me off ’cause I’m gonna be so popular.
My blog traffic has gone from 40 hits a day on a good day to a high of 650 just the other day.
I know I’m not the only one…
- Left Brain/Right Brain
- The first Left Brain/Right Brain post
- Respectful Insolence
- Autism Street
- Autism Diva
- Action For Autism
- The Quirk Factor
So if any of you bloggers out there are looking for more traffic to your blogs, I highly suggest writing about Jenny. If you want some traffic, you can even have some of mine. I’m willing to share.
So…..how ’bout them Maple Leafs? ![]()

But we like you! We really do!
And to keep peace with hubby’s BC relatives I have to go with the Canucks.
Uh, well… have you read any good books lately?
Well, being a lifelong Maple Leaf fan can be compared at times to an illness. Other than beer, I’m sure there’s a therapy available for it somewhere….
I’m working on “The Street of a Thousand Blossoms” by Gail Tsukiyama right now. I’m about halfway through and while it hasn’t grabbed me as much as some of her past books, it’s pretty enjoyable.
How ’bout you, HCN?
Toskala can’t seem to stop the first shot he sees in a period…Considering there’s 3 a game that’s not a terribly good omen…
But GoLeafsGo nevertheless…
and nobody asked but I’m reading “Nixon Alone” and about to start reading Marion Kaplan’s “Between Dignity and Depair” which I have to write a paper on by next Friday…
also, for the record, you totally kick ass!
much love to the fam…
Britney Spears has autism?
Ron - yeah, I’m concerned already about the Leafs. The quality of the players is, yet again, substandard it seems. Personally, I blame the head office and person behind the bench more than anything. I mean, I like Maurice, but I’m not sure if he’s really good enough for the Big Leagues. As for Ferguson…he’s the one we could really do without. He always looks as if he’s so bored when he’s watching a game in his box.
And thanks.
Love to you guys!
Mal - probably.
You’re totally gonna be the next Perez Hilton!
I know what you mean girl. I wrote about the Chris Benoit tragedy and my connection to fragile X syndrome and my blog got 1,000 hits in one day. I was sorely disappointed in society.
Hey Huph! Hoe gaat het? I know. I should probably post up some ads and get some money, huh?
I know exactly what you mean, FXSmom. I was pretty disappointed in society before but I’m even more so after all this crap. At least I didn’t set my expectations too high.
But of course, I’ll probably get slammed on the “negativity” there. I prefer to call it realism, myself.
If Britney Spears has a leaky gut it would explain a lot.
Toronto seems to go through cycles where they have scoring but no goaltending followed by goaltending but no scoring.
I think the real problem that comes into play in the NHL is that you need time and dedication to build a good team but no-one wants to invest the time. They think in order to keep the fans happy they have to go out and buy a busload of veteran players who are on the brink of retirement in order to lend credibility to management’s efforts. All that does is give you a sometime winning team now with absolutely no future (see NY Rangers for a history of doing this). But hey, the season is young and you never know what will happen - a couple of key trades (and some management shake-up) and you could be a SC contender by January.
I personally think Britney is a glutten for gluten, but what do I know? I’m a hockey fan, after all.
Toronto’s always had problems between the pipes. But you’re right, Bill - as long as the money keeps rolling in, what do they care about investing in good quality, young players? And in Toronto the money does roll in! They know that no matter what they do, they’ll still be able to fill up the seats and still sell the merchandise.
Nope. We get stuck with the older veteran players. While some are good, most end up put out for a few weeks during the season because they’re injury prone.
And the season started yesterday (Saturday, if you want to count the London game). I hardly heard anything about it in the press. Sad.
